Lyons shot a 4-under 68 over Monday’s final 18 holes to jump into sixth place and climbed four spots up the individual leaderboard with a 2-under 70 on Tuesday. Sophomore Ryan Banas posted an unblemished first round on Monday morning with seven birdies to help the Golden Eagles out to an early lead. Johan Widal sat just one stroke behind Banas with a 6-under 66 in the opening round and the pair were tied for first entering Tuesday’s final 18 holes.
