‘Get to Know’ the founder/CEO of Hundred Acre Inc. at Marquette Law School, Nov. 16
MILWAUKEE — Chris Corkery, founder/CEO of Hundred Acre Inc., an urban hydroponic farm in Milwaukee’s Century City, will be the next guest for the “Get to Know” program series of Marquette University Law School’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 12:15 p.m. at Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.
Corkery invested in revitalizing distressed areas by creating Hundred Acre in Century City near 31st Street and Capitol Drive in the heart of Milwaukee. The 5,000-square-foot farm produces a year-round harvest of 50,000 pounds of produce for Milwaukee-area restaurants, grocers and university dining services.
Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, Marquette Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
