Final Artblaze of the Summer This Thursday

By - Aug 19th, 2025 09:42 am

Milwaukee public art nonprofit Joy Engine will be throwing one final ArtBlaze this Thursday at McKinley Beach. The free, all-ages event will delight and entertain Milwaukeeans with its offering of music, performers, vendors, art activities, food and fun. Exciting interactive opportunities include aerial dance lessons or helping artist Sophie Tarantino make a giant beach mandala with stones, flowers and driftwood. Many more will dance and take pictures beside “Threshold,” an inflatable installation by FuzzPop Workshop and UW-Milwaukee Architecture students.

Thanks to The Ability Center, the thrill of ArtBlaze will be accessible to people of all abilities. Several giant mobility mats will provide front-row seats to the action. Beach wheelchairs will also be available so everyone can roam as fully desired.
