Danceworks Launces Search for New Executive Director

Julia Gray will leave position March 30th

Milwaukee, Wisconsin– Danceworks, the local arts education organization, is seeking applicants for its Executive Director position. Julia Gray, the current Executive Director, took over the reins of Danceworks in 2020. She recently announced her resignation to pursue her passion for executive coaching and to have the flexibility to spend important quality time with family.

“Thanks to Julia’s dedicated leadership through challenging times, Danceworks is in a very strong place. Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, we truly appreciate Julia’s service and commitment to the growth of the organization,” said Renee Griswold Vice President, Board of Directors. Griswold will be heading up the search team. “We’re in an excellent position for a smooth transition to new leadership.”

The Executive Director, working with the Board of Directors, serves as the leader of Danceworks and is its primary public representative and spokesperson. The Executive Director also oversees fund development, the organization’s strategic vision, and community relations, among many other duties.
