MILWAUKEE…Danceworks has kicked off its 2015-16 program year of Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap Program (Mad Hot)—serving 44 Milwaukee area schools with ballroom and tap dance lessons provided during the school day. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this phenomenal program which has now expanded from 12 to 15 weeks with no additional charge to the schools. Since the program’s inception in 2006, over 21,000 city youth have been positively impacted by the joy, health and creativity Danceworks brings to our city through Mad Hot. In honor of this special milestone of Mad Hot, Danceworks will hold a one-of-a-kind 10th Anniversary Celebration on March 10, 2016 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N 4th Street in downtown Milwaukee. The event is hosted by Mario and Cathy Costantini.

This Celebration, which usually takes place in the summer, is being held this year in March to help kick off anniversary year with flair. The event will recognize and commend Mad Hot’s accomplishments over the last ten years, while all proceeds from the evening will help propel Mad Hot into the next ten years of programming. This extraordinary Celebration is everything you’ve come to love about the previous annual event at La Lune Collection in Riverwest…and so much more!

The night will feature one-night-only entertainment by Mad Hot Students and special alumni performances. To reserve a place at the 10th Anniversary Celebration ($150 per person) visit http://danceworksmke.org/mad-hot-ballroom-and-tap/mad-hot-celebration/ or contact Danceworks directly at 414-277-8480. I’ve been to the Mad Hot Ballroom event at the Bradley Center in the past, and it’s joyous – young burgeoning dancers (and just socialites who never knew they’d become dancers) aspire to the best dancing that they can – an event everyone should attend at least once!
