Chris Larson Cements Lead in Milwaukee County Executive Race
Milwaukee, WI – With the release of the financial reports, State Senator Chris Larson continues to show he is the number one choice of Milwaukeeans for County Executive.
Chris Larson led all other candidates by raising $61,016.74 and having the most cash on hand of all candidates at $46,517.70.
Chris Larson said “In my twelve years as a public servant, in every campaign, I’ve always had more donors than my opponents. Milwaukeeans have shown, once again, that they will reject dark money’s stripping of our democracy by opening their wallets to donate to the one candidate who has signed a clean campaign pledge, eschewing all corporate PAC money, refusing to accept fossil fuel money, and promising to run a campaign that focuses on the issues, not personality differences.”
In addition to raising the most money, having the most cash on hand, and accruing the most endorsements (including from Black Leaders Organizing for Communities (BLOC), American Federation of Teachers Local 212, Teamsters Local 200 and 344, State Senator LaTonya Johnson, Representative Jonathan Brostoff, and Representative Christine Sinicki), Senator Larson also submitted the most signatures from grassroots volunteer circulators.
Chris Larson is the State Senator for Wisconsin’s 7th District and former Milwaukee County Supervisor. Chris grew up in Greenfield and is a life-long resident of Milwaukee County and currently lives in Bay View with his wife, Jessica, and son Atticus and daughter Stella.
