Carole Milos Exhibit Opens at Inspiration Studios: Daydreams… Painted
An Opening Reception with Carole Milos will be held Thursday, October 10, 5:30-8:30pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
West Allis artist, Carole Milos, offers an assortment of nature-inspired portraits in her exhibit that opens Thursday, October 10, at Inspiration Studios, 1500 S. 73rd St., West Allis.
Titled “Daydreams… Painted“, Milos’ exhibit will run through November 3, 2019. An Opening Reception with the artist is scheduled for October 10, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Milos is a full-time artist living and working in West Allis. She went to Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) in the late 1980s and then took several years away from art to raise a family.
Based on the hundreds of photos that Milos has taken over the years, “Daydreams… Painted” combines accurate portrayals from nature, with the focus and detail of a lively sun-filled likeness—all in a portrait.
Milos worked at the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin, Inc., for 16 years before leaving in Feb 2018 to become a full time artist. She has exhibited at the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy and participated in the September Art on the Plaza II event in West Allis. Most recently, Milos is trying her hand at Plein Aire painting.
“I have really loved painting this group of photos, and the new daydream of painting nature in real time, from life.“
An Opening Reception with Carole Milos will be held Thursday, October 10, 5:30-8:30pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
“Ðaydreams… Painted” will be available for viewing during the Village Playhouse theatre production of The Clean House (October 11-13) and the Cream City Theater staged reading of A Few Good Men (October 17-20).
Additional private viewings are available through November 3 by contacting the gallery.
