Milwaukee, Wis. – Paul Sara, owner of Badger Outdoor Consulting, has announced his retirement from the Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin’s Board of Directors after a career that spanned 30 years, serving on the boards of directors for two Better Business Bureau locations.

Sara first served on the board with the BBB Chicago beginning in 1990, then with BBB Serving Wisconsin starting in 1996. Sara has held several board positions, some twice, for thirty years including Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary.

Sara is the owner of Badger Outdoor Consulting, an outdoor advertising business, which he started in 2018. He spent most of his career as president of Clear Channel Outdoor-Milwaukee Division since 1996 and says that “it didn’t take much to convince me to join the BBB” as both an accredited business and as a board member.

“It’s been such an honor to have been associated with the BBB. It’s such a great organization. The people I’ve come to know and connect with are some of the best people you can surround yourself with. My association with fellow BBB members helped me to set high ethical standards that we could all follow,” said Sara.

Sara says “There are consequences for bad behavior. Do the right thing because it is right.” Some of the best advice he has ever received is, “Surround yourself with people of flawless integrity.” That, he says, “says it all.”

Sara plans to stay busy running his business and currently serving on three other organizations boards.

“Paul is one of the kindest men you’ll meet. His commitment and passion has been invaluable to BBB and I want to thank him for his devotion and all that he has done for this organization through his decades of service,” said Jim Temmer, BBB Serving Wisconsin CEO and president. “Both the board and the BBB management team congratulate Paul on his well-deserved retirement from our board and are deeply appreciative of his fervent support.”

The BBB board consists of 22 members. Following Sara’s retirement, BBB intends to replace Sara’s seat and return to its board structure led by newly appointed Chairman of the Board, Jeffry Freiburger, Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated.
