SpongeBob SquarePants Background
SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg, which premiered on July 17, 1999.  A month after its premiere, the show became the highest-rated and most viewed animated Saturday morning program!

The series follows SpongeBob SquarePants, an energetic and infectiously optimistic sea sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea, in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. He is shaped like a yellow dish sponge, wears pants, and is imbued with a child-like enthusiasm.  His best friend, Patrick, is a simple-minded, over-weight pink starfish, who lives next door and sleeps under a rock. He is an expert at “doing nothing” and sometimes depicted as much more intelligent than portrayed.  SpongeBob works as a fry cook at the “Krusty Krab’, owned by Mr. Krabs, a red crab and greedy restauranteur, who has developed a secret formula that makes his ‘Krabby Patty’ irresistible to the local fish and other sea creatures of Bikini Bottom.  Plankton, the rival restaurant owner of the ‘Chum Bucket’, is constantly trying to steal the secret recipe.  Squidward, an octopus, SpongeBob’s neighbor and co-worker, is a pessimistic and terrible clarinetist, often doing mean things to mess with SpongeBob, who always fails to see the evil intentions, and somehow, manages to see Squidward as a dear friend.  Gary, SpongeBob’s pet snail, meows.   Mrs. Puff, SpongeBob’s boat-driving instructor, develops twitches because SpongeBob is a terrible driver who never passes the exams.  Sandy Cheeks, a thrill-seeking and athletic squirrel, wears an air-filled diving suit to live under the sea.  The episodes show SpongeBob getting though the day in a playful and enthusiastic manner, no matter what challenges befall him.

Sugar Maple Background
The Sugar Maple opened on April 1, 2008 with the mission to provide craft beer brewed solely in North America.  Since 2015, its mission has evolved to showcase small craft breweries, as local as possible, and to give new, up-and-coming breweries and distilleries exposure to the public. The bar focuses on educating and informing the consumer, so that each individual can support the producers of local beverages, thus supporting their communities.

The Sugar Maple has grown into much more than a beer bar. It is an active community center that elevates the local art, music and food scenes. It is a place to gather, connect and inspire. Sugar Maple regularly hosts events including beer releases and brewery showcases, musical performances, art openings, fundraisers for local non-profits, comedy shows, theater performances, and more!

As an active member of its community in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sugar Maple encourages innovation and creativity in the fermented beverage industries. Through hosting inclusive and accessible educational programs and building partnerships, Sugar Maple aims to invest in the vibrant integrity of its communities.
