Ald. Brostoff invites youth to participate in first Basketball with Brostoff event Sunday

Alderperson Jonathan Brostoff is inviting area youth to join him for Basketball with Brostoff taking place this Sunday, July 16 at 3 p.m. at the Maryland Avenue Montessori School basketball courts. The friendly game of basketball in the district is a way to connect with young people in a casual setting to have fun while also learning about what issues youth are concerned about within the community.

“Giving young people an outlet to have fun but also share their thoughts and ideas about our city is important. I’m looking forward to our first basketball event this weekend, and hope to see youth of all ages join me for a fun afternoon of hoops and conversation,” said Alderperson Brostoff. “I also want to thank Peter Hoeffel, a dedicated community leader, for suggesting this terrific idea. I hope this is the first of many youth engagement opportunities.”
