AG Kaul Issues Statement Regarding Wisconsin Supreme Court Ruling in Spills Law Case

MADISON, Wis. – Attorney General Josh Kaul issued the following statement following this morning’s Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling in Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Inc. v. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, a case relating to the regulation of discharges of hazardous substances:

“This ruling for DNR is a win for the protection of our environment,” said AG Kaul. “A contrary ruling would have significantly weakened our Spills Law.”
