6th District town hall meeting to take place Tuesday, January 17

Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is inviting residents to attend the upcoming 6th District town hall meeting taking place on Tuesday, January 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Library located at 310 W. Locust St. The town hall meeting will also feature the announcement of the winners of the 2022 Dr. James G. White 6th District Difference Makers Awards, named for the late Dr. James G. White who lived in the 6th District and served as a County Supervisor and the regional Vice President of WestCare Wisconsin Harambee Community Center. Six total awards will be presented including four to 6th District residents, one to a community organization, and one to a block club.

The town hall meeting will be an opportunity for residents of the 6th District to ask questions and share their concerns. In addition to Alderwoman Coggs, representatives from various city departments will be in attendance to share relevant updates and answer questions.

“I encourage residents from across the district to attend next week’s town hall meeting to share their thoughts as we begin the new year, and to celebrate the recipients of the Dr. James G. White 6th District Difference Makers Award winners who go above and beyond to make our community a better place,” said Alderwoman Coggs.
