2025 Adopt-A-Neighborhood initiative kicks-off in Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights, in the 6th Aldermanic District, was highlighted as the city’s 2025 Adopt-A-Neighborhood location during a special kick-off event held Monday, June 30. This 12-week revitalization effort brings together city departments, local organizations, and residents to create a cleaner, safer, and more connected community.
Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs looks forward to the impact this effort will make in the area. “This collaborative effort will ensure that area residents, business owners, and other community stakeholders are engaged with the process and that they receive access to important city services,” she said. “This is a commitment to investing in our neighborhoods and working to make sure they are healthy, thriving, and empowered to succeed.”The goals for Arlington Heights for the duration of the program include: Revitalize and beautify public spaces in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and the Department of Neighborhood Services; Increase public safety and quality of life with support from the Milwaukee police department; and empower and engage residents in partnership with the Office of Community Wellness and Safety and Safe & Sound.
