10 Local Leaders Going to Harvard for Young American Leaders Program

MILWAUKEE – Some of the Milwaukee area’s top young leadership will be taking part in the Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program (YALP) later this year with an opportunity to collaborate with leaders from other U.S. cities to discuss challenges facing their respective communities.

Launched in 2015, YALP is a product of Harvard Business School’s U.S. Competitiveness Project and is designed to provide access to case discussions within the school itself along with speaker presentations and whiteboard presentations that ask participants to collaborate on solutions targeting an issue challenging their community.

The 10 participants include: Kyle Ashley, of Milwaukee County; Ben Callif, of Bader Philanthropies; Maritza Contreras, of American Family Insurance; Micah Crawford, of Milwaukee Tool; Marina Dimitrijevic, a member of the Milwaukee City Council; Tiffany Henry, of U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin’s office; Nadiyah Johnson, of the Milky Way Tech Hub; DeShaun Robinson, of the Greater Milwaukee Committee; Joshua Parish, of the Milwaukee Fire Department; and Aaron Towns, of BMO Financial.

YALP is supported in Milwaukee by the Greater Milwaukee Committee and is proudly sponsored by Southwest Airlines and GRAEF, whose generous support makes this leadership opportunity possible.
