In 1962, he took over Karl Ratzsch’s restaurant from his father Karl Ratzsch.
In 1951, he married Sally Webb Ratzsch.
Karl and his wife Sally had three sons Andrew, Josef, and Karl Ratzsch III, who passed away in 1993, two daughters Lisa Braun and Carrie Collins, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
