Milwaukee baseball legend Hank Aaron returned to Milwaukee for the Hank Aaron State Trail Grand Slam to officially open his namesake trail on August 12, 2006. Hank Aaron, Governor Jim Doyle, and Mayor Tom Barrett reminisced about Hank’s early days in Milwaukee and noted how the Trail, like Hank Aaron himself, is breaking down barriers and uniting the Milwaukee community..
