“A Sailor’s Songbag” with David HB Drake
Wisconsin folksinger and songsmith David HB Drake presents the music of Great Lakes and saltwater sailors in “A Sailor’s Songbag”. He plays the music and tells stories of the seven seas and dockside pubs performing on guitar, concertina, and handmade banjo, dulcimer, and Native American flute. David has been the resident musician for the Wisconsin’s flagship, the three masted schooner “Denis Sullivan” and has served as shantyman, interpreter, and performer aboard tall ships on the Atlantic, Pacific, and Great Lakes.
