The Buckler is an apartment building in Westown. It opened in 2016. The building was most recently home to the Wisconsin headquarters of Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield vacated the building for Summit Place in West Allis in 2006.

The estimated cost of the project is $30.6 million. The project is being developed by Phoenix Development Partners and CA Ventures. Upon completion the project will have 207 apartments.

The parcel also includes a surface parking lot immediately west of the building along W. Michigan St. and N. 5th St.

Prior to renovation work beginning in 2014, the building had been vacant since 2006.

The original building architect was Brust-Zimmerman, Inc.

The project has been formerly referred to as The 401 and 401 W. Michigan St.

A floor was added to the top of the building as part of the conversion.
