Designed by William Wenzler as the headquarters for Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Acquired by Family Service of Milwaukee in 1994 for $790,000. The organization merged into Aurora Health Care in 1995.
A demolition plan emerged in 2021, when AbleLight proposed building the five-story Cornerstone Village affordable housing development at the site.
Cardinal Capital Management ultimately took over the housing project and demolished the building in 2024, starting construction on a four-story, 71-unit apartment building.
