WBB Schedule Set for 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship
Golden Eagles to face Illinois and Belmont in Thanksgiving Weekend event
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University women’s basketball will travel to Nassau, Bahamas, for the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship, Nov. 27 and 29, at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.
The six-team field, announced Tuesday by bdG Sports, includes Belmont, Illinois, Iowa State, Marquette, Saint Joseph’s and USC. Each team will play two games over Thanksgiving weekend at the Baha Mar Resort.
Marquette opens the event against Illinois on Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. CT before closing tournament play against Belmont on Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. CT.
Illinois and Marquette will meet in the opening game of the tournament, while USC faces Saint Joseph’s and Iowa State takes on Belmont later in the day. The championship’s second day features Illinois against Saint Joseph’s, Iowa State versus USC and Marquette squaring off with Belmont.

The Baha Mar resort annually hosts one of the premier early-season collegiate basketball events in the country, welcoming NCAA Division I men’s and women’s programs to Nassau during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Baha Mar annually plays host to one of the largest regular-season events in the sport of college basketball. Each November around the Thanksgiving holiday, 16 or more NCAA Division I men’s and women’s teams visit the stunning resort to compete in three basketball tournaments.
Each August, the resort also holds the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, offering NCAA teams exhibition games against international competition as part of a foreign tour.
