Standard M-Line and L-Line Service Returns September 1

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee’s free streetcar, The Hop, presented by Potawatomi Casino | Hotel, will return to its standard M-Line and L-Line service beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, following the conclusion of the summer festival season.

The transition marks the end of the seasonal F-Line service configuration, which provided expanded direct service to Milwaukee’s lakefront throughout the busy summer festival season. Lakefront service will continue via the L-Line, which connects the central downtown corridor and Historic Third Ward with the Lakefront, while the M-Line operates between the Intermodal station at the southern end of the route and Burns Commons at the northern terminus.

Passengers can transfer between the two routes at any of five shared stations: Wisconsin Ave NB, City Hall NB, City Hall SB, Wisconsin Ave SB, and Historic Third Ward EB. All streetcars are clearly marked with the route being served.

Riders traveling to and from the Lakefront should board an L-Line streetcar or transfer between the M-Line and L-Line at one of the shared stations. Both routes remain free to ride.

As always, Hop riders are encouraged to use the free TransLoc app to view the real-time locations of streetcars on both routes. For additional route information, maps, and a link to download the app, visit thehopmke.com.
