Fatal Shooting in Milwaukee: Police Investigate After Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Vehicle Incident
Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at approximately 3:17 p.m., on the 4000 block of W. Lancaster Avenue. Victim #1 (driver) was shot while operating a vehicle, causing the vehicle to lose control and strike multiple unoccupied parked vehicles. Victim #1 (driver), a 48-year-old, sustained fatal gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Victim #2 (passenger), a 44-year-old, was not struck by gunfire but was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation; however, is believed to have stemmed from an argument. Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
