While schools are winding down for the summer we are winding up! Zoo Camps and Classes at the Milwaukee County Zoo start soon but there is still time for parents to sign up. Camps are available for children from infants to age 15. Many of our available camps are for one day, so you don’t need to dedicate a whole week. Our programs provide the perfect learning experience for children to make lasting connections with nature.

Camp Descriptions:

  • Junior Zookeeper: This half day class is for children 4- and 5-years-old. They will learn some independence by attending the class alone while also learning the three main jobs of a zookeeper.
  • Calling All Zoo Artists: This full day camp is for 6- and 7-year-olds looking to get a little creative. This hands-on experience will include walking through the Zoo for inspiration followed by sculpting a unique creature.
  • Green Gamers: 8- and 9-year-olds will dive into a screen-free adventure that connects gaming with real-life conservation challenges.
  • Vet Camp or Exhibit Design: Our Camps for 10- to 12-year-olds dig deeper into careers related to zoos. They can take classes to learn about caring for hundreds of animals or creating a zoo exhibit.

Price varies for each camp. Zoo Pass members get discounts on camps and classes. Visit zoosociety.org/education for a look at the camps available and choose what works for your summer schedule and needs.
