Supervisor Coggs-Jones Sworn-In, Reelected Second Vice Chair

MILWAUKEE – On Monday, April 20, 2026, Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones was officially sworn in at the Milwaukee County Courthouse by the Honorable Lena C. Taylor as she began her fifth year of dedicated service as Milwaukee County Supervisor and was reelected to continue her leadership role as Second Vice Chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. During her tenure, Coggs-Jones has:

  • Led and supported dozens of community listening sessions to ensure resident voices help shape policy
  • Championed neighborhood beautification efforts, coordinating more than 25 clean-up and improvement initiatives across the district
  • Advanced health equity and human services initiatives through her leadership on key county committees
  • Advocated for improvements to Transportation services
  • Fostered partnerships that expand resources and opportunities for youth, families, and underserved communities

The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by Judge Lena C. Taylor, whose distinguished career reflects a lifelong commitment to public service and justice. Prior to her role on the bench, Judge Taylor served the people of Wisconsin as both a State Representative and State Senator, where she:

  • Championed criminal justice reform efforts, advocating for fair sentencing practices and reentry support
  • Advanced legislation focused on education equity, improving outcomes for underserved students
  • Led efforts addressing health disparities, expanding access to quality healthcare in urban communities
  • Advocated for economic development and job creation in historically underserved neighborhoods
  • Served as a strong voice for voting rights and civic engagement across the state

Supervisor Coggs-Jones said:
