Milwaukee Police Investigate Separate Fatal Crash and Shooting Incidents

The following incidents are not related:

Milwaukee Police are investigating a crash that occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., on the 4900 block of W. Burleigh Street. A vehicle was traveling westbound in the 4900 block of West Burleigh Street, when it collided with a pedestrian attempting to cross the street. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old, was taken into custody regarding the crash. Criminal charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., on the 5800 block of North 77th St. The victim, a 42-year-old sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. This investigation is ongoing and Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
