New Marquette Law School Poll Shows Francesca Hong Leading Democratic Field for Governor
Poll confirms Hong’s momentum as voters rally behind the issues she’s championed since day one
MILWAUKEE — Today’s Marquette University Law School Poll shows state Rep. Francesca Hong leading the Democratic primary field for governor.
“Wisconsin voters are sending a clear signal: They want a governor who will fight for them, not for corporate special interests,” Hong said. “Families are getting crushed by the cost of living, and this campaign is meeting them where they are with real solutions. We’re just getting started.”
Today’s poll also shows voters lining up behind the very issues Hong has championed since launching her campaign: regulating AI data centers, standing up to ICE brutality, and most importantly, keeping permanent affordability at the center of the conversation.
On AI data centers, a striking 70% of voters now say the costs outweigh the benefits — up 15 points from October. Opposition surged 21 points among independents and 29 points among Democrats; even a majority of Republicans agree.
On immigration enforcement, 56% of voters disapprove of how ICE is enforcing immigration laws, including 76% of independents.
On affordability, inflation tops every other issue with 70% of voters very concerned about cost of living.
