Harley-Davidson Foundation Launches “Friends of Davidson Park” Program
New initiative invites community to support Davidson Park’s free, public programming
MILWAUKEE, WI — The Harley-Davidson Foundation has launched Friends of Davidson Park, a new program that invites the Milwaukee community and beyond to support free public programming at Davidson Park—a four-acre public green space located just south of the iconic Harley-Davidson headquarters at 3700 W. Juneau Avenue.
Since opening in June 2024, Davidson Park has become a neighborhood hub where residents relax, families make memories, and community events bring people together. Located in the Near West Side, the park celebrates the heritage and power of the Harley-Davidson brand to be a force for good within our community.
Pioneered by the Harley-Davidson Foundation, the park was created to transform former industrial land into an inviting, soulful space to be used by everyone who lives in or visits Milwaukee. Voices from across the Near West Side—from Potawatomi leaders to local students and community groups—played a crucial role in influencing the design and purpose of the park. Their ideas culminated in a green space that supports health, well-being, art, and culture, including events like Near West Fest and, most recently, the NCAA Tournament Viewing Party.
Now, through the Friends of Davidson Park program, supporters can play a vital role in preserving and enhancing this free, public neighborhood asset. The tax-deductible contributions will support family-friendly events like movie nights, morning yoga, and more.
“Davidson Park was built with community input at every step—and now, with the launch of the Friends of Davidson Park program, we’re inviting that same community to help shape its future,” said April Gianeselli, Community Impact Manager at Harley-Davidson, Inc.
Tiers start at the Bronze Level (“Donate What You Can”) and include exclusive benefits such as a collectible Davidson Park patch and access to an annual friends-only celebration. Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels ($500–$5,000+) include added recognition and benefits such as engraved bricks along the park’s walkway, discounts on park rentals, VIP event experiences, and more.
“Every contribution, no matter the size, helps keep Davidson Park vibrant and accessible to all,” said Gianeselli. “Whether you’re joining at the Bronze level or becoming a Platinum-level patron, you’re ensuring this space remains a source of joy and connection for years to come.”
