Representative Angelito Tenorio Applauds Governor Evers’ State of the State Address
MADISON, Wis. – Today, Representative Angelito Tenorio (D-West Allis) joined his colleagues to listen to Governor Tony Evers deliver his State of the State Address. In his address, he declared 2025 to be the “Year of the Kid” and set forth an agenda that will allow all Wisconsin children to thrive. Within delivering for Wisconsin’s kids, Governor Evers intends to take a holistic approach by advancing legislation that will make all aspects of children’s lives better, including historic investments in public education and the environment, common sense gun safety laws, and making healthcare and housing more affordable.
Representative Tenorio released the following statement:
“I applaud Governor Evers’ priorities for 2025 and how they reflect the needs of all Wisconsin’s children and families.”
“I am especially encouraged by Governor Evers’ investments in creating a clean, healthy environment that our kids can thrive in. The actions we take today will impact the environmental future of our kids. Governor Evers recognizes this and intends to be, ‘…bold on clean energy, fight the climate crisis, and create good-paying jobs.’ His actions will include ensuring safe drinking water and reducing lead contamination.”
“It takes a village to raise a child. As such, doing right by our kids means doing right by ALL Wisconsinites. Governor Evers’ proposals do exactly that, by reducing the cost of healthcare, enshrining common sense gun safety laws, and creating stable jobs.”
“I share in Governor Evers vision and look forward to working with him to accomplish this vision this budget cycle.”
