Brewers Sign Free-agent Outfielder Andrew McCutchen
Five-Time All-Star Agrees to One-Year Contract
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today signed free-agent outfielder Andrew McCutchen to a one-year contract. The announcement was made by President of Baseball Operations David Stearns.

McCutchen, 35, is a career .280/.373/.476 hitter with 270 HR, 933 RBI and 197 stolen bases in 1,761 games over 13 seasons with Pittsburgh (2009-17), San Francisco (2018), New York-AL (2018) and Philadelphia (2019-21). He is a five-time All-Star (2011-15), four-time Silver Slugger Award winner (2012-15), a 2012 Gold Glove Award winner and the 2013 National League Most Valuable Player.
McCutchen batted .222/.334/.444 with 27 HR and 80 RBI in 144 games with the Phillies last season. His home run and RBI totals were his most since 2017. He hit .293/.405/.622 with 15 HR against left-handed pitching in 2021 (48-for-164) and is a career .307/.403/.552 hitter with 84 HR against lefties (474-for-1,543).
The longtime division rival is a career .289/.350/.581 hitter with 23 HR and 61 RBI in 77 games at American Family Field.
