Building a Values-based Economy and the Profit Motive
January 26, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This evening will explore how the profit motive affects our personal, familial, social, ecological, and theological living.
For over 200 years, the profit motive has dominated economic thought and practice. This evening will explore how the profit motive affects our personal, familial, social, ecological, and theological living. We will propose responses that are in line with building a functional economy grounded in Christ’s love. The spirituality of Catholic Worker co-founders Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin will be featured prominently in this program. Facilitated by Lincoln Rice, Casa Maria Catholic Worker.
