“A Chance for a Better Life”
SAINT FRANCIS, WI – Today Steve Krull filed a campaign registration statement with the Wisconsin Elections Commission with the intent to run for State Superintendent of Wisconsin Schools. Steve plans to declare his candidacy at krullforschools.com on Sunday, September 20th, 2020 @ 6:00 CST.
“I am running for State Superintendent because I believe that every child deserves a chance for a better life. Education in Wisconsin is not what it used to be. We used to be innovators. We used to be national leaders. Today, we’ve fallen behind and much of our education system in Wisconsin is damaged. It’s time we solve the real problems, with real solutions. Our children and grandchildren deserve better.”
Steve currently serves as the principal of Hamlin Garland School. His leadership and amazing staff allowed Garland to earn high ratings from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Steve also received numerous awards including the East Principal Rookie of the Year, Closing the Achievement Gap, and last year was even named the Leader in the East.
Steve has a bachelor’s from Wayland Baptist University, a master’s from Cardinal Stritch, and a doctoral degree from UW-Milwaukee.
Steve met his wife Amanda in the Air Force and they recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary. They have two amazing children. Imogen is a freshman in college and Keith is a sophomore in high school. The Krull family enjoys playing games, watching the Brewers, and Sunday brunch with friends & family.
“In Wisconsin, we believe in working hard for a better life and seeing our children grow up with more opportunities than our own. Through innovation and hard work, we can tackle the challenges facing schools and once again claim our place as national leaders in education.”
