Admission Discounts and Prizes Offered for Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Show

Discounted ticket prices and a variety of raffle prizes are just some of the incentives attracting visitors to the 56th annual Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Show at the State Fair Park Exposition Center in West Allis Thurs., Feb. 15, through Sun., Feb. 18.

Discounted ticket prices and a variety of raffle prizes are just some of the incentives attracting visitors to the 56th annual Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Show at the State Fair Park Exposition Center in West Allis Thurs., Feb. 15, through Sun., Feb. 18.

Adults 60 and older will be admitted for $8, a $4 discount off the regular adult ticket price of $12. A $2 off admission coupon sponsored by Weather Tight Corporation valid on up to four regularly priced tickets during each day of the Show is also available at www.weathertightcorp.com/nari.

In addition, children 17 and younger and all military personnel with a military photo ID card receive free admission throughout the run of the show.

Advance regular admission tickets are available for $10 now through Wed., Feb. 14, at the Milwaukee NARI office and on the association’s website at www.milwaukeenari.org.

For the 20th consecutive year, the Milwaukee NARI Foundation, Inc., will conduct a raffle in conjunction with the Home Improvement Show. With a mission to increase public awareness of the home improvement industry, raffle proceeds are used to fund scholarships, purchase tools and equipment, and support educational programs to help encourage and train workers interested in the professional remodeling industry. The raffle prizes available are as follows:

  • $1,000 gift certificate for a Carrier product and installation by 1st Choice Heating & Cooling
  • $500 Kohler Gift Card from Kohler
  • $500 Gift Certificate from Bliffert Lumber for its Hardware Store in Riverwest
  • 55” TV from ABC Audio Video
  • Birch and Walnut Wine Cabinet from Jim Wirtz’s Woodworks
  • Rustic Coffee Table from Ironwood Builders
  • Outdoor Furniture from Waukesha County Technical College
  • Picnic Table from Milwaukee Area Technical College – South Campus

Raffle tickets will be sold from the Milwaukee NARI Foundation display on the Show floor at one for $5, three for $10, and eight for $20. The winning tickets will be drawn at 4 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 18, from the display space.  One need not be present to win.

With a theme of “Remodeling Done Right,” the Show will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet with more than 250 Milwaukee NARI member exhibitors. Association contractors will display the latest home improvement and remodeling products and services, including design/build, kitchens, decks, cabinets, windows, wall covering, bathrooms, lighting, landscaping, roofing, painting, fireplaces, siding, and more.

In addition, there will be daily educational presentations and tips from industry experts on the Presentation Stage, including Melinda Myers, the Plant Doctor; Nick Kerzner, the Construction Guru; and the “Guess the Price” game show, emceed by Mike McGivern, host of the weekly “Home Improvement Show” radio program on WSSP-AM 1250/The Fan 105.7 FM. The Show will also feature a Culinary Stage with cooking competitions and chefs preparing their favorite recipes, including Mad Dog & Merrill, the Grilling Buddies.

Special attractions at the Show include an “In the Park” outdoor living display with live music on the weekend on the Bliffert Azek Music Deck sponsored by Valley of Wisconsin LLC, an Interior Design Display featuring outdoor living theme designs by college students from four area colleges, the Wisconsin SkillsUSA Carpentry TeamWorks competition sponsored by the Milwaukee NARI Foundation, ABC Supply, and Creative Construction of Wisconsin showcasing area high school students, a Milwaukee NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes display, the Schlossmann’s Automotive Group vehicle display, and much more.

In addition, Milwaukee NARI and the Milwaukee NARI Foundation will host a career fair on Thurs., Feb. 15 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on the second floor of the expo building, with more than 20 association members who are seeking employees on hand to discuss available positions within a variety of disciplines, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, HVAC, painting, roofing, plumbing, siding, designers, sales professionals, and more.

Show hours on Thurs., Feb. 15 are noon – 8 p.m.; 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 16, and Sat., Feb. 17; and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 18.
