"I feel like Milwaukee is an underrated city, but I love it."
Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?
I work for Adaptive Engineering Lab, part of the Diversatek Family of companies, as a Product Specialist. I get to interact with a wide range of people on a daily basis which makes everyday something new. It’s also awesome knowing that the products we provide help make someone’s life easier as they go about life and their daily activities.
How long have you lived in Milwaukee and what brought you here?
I lived in Franklin for my first three years here and just moved to Walker’s Point with my Fiancée. I moved to Milwaukee for work when I finished playing basketball. I’m excited to live closer to Downtown and getting to explore new parts of the city.
What do you love most about Milwaukee?
I feel like Milwaukee is an underrated city, but I love it. I like that it has everything you see in bigger cities from museums, professional sports teams, great restaurants and all without the traffic!
What local restaurant is at the top of your list?
The Smoke Shack in the Third Ward. It has a great atmosphere, but be sure to get there around 5:00 p.m., if you want the best chance at all their meats. They do sell out and the spare ribs are my favorite.
What does your ideal Milwaukee weekend look like?
My ideal weekend in Milwaukee, if weather doesn’t permit mountain biking out at Kettle Moraine State Forest, consists of grabbing some local brew at Kickapoo Coffee and then exploring the Third Ward shops and then maybe an afternoon snack at one of the restaurants in the area.
What’s your favorite hidden gem or secret fact about the city?
I would have to say Odd Duck is one of the hidden gems. The name can definitely throw you off, but don’t be scared. Their ever changing menu of local food and great cocktails is perfect for any occasion and one place everyone should experience.
