Project Patchwork artwork created by Alderwoman Coggs to be part of event
The art lottery and all of the Fusion 2012 events at RedLine – 1422 N. 4th St.– will take place TODAY (Friday, September 21, 2012) starting at 5 p.m.
Participants in the Project Patchwork “art lottery” at today’s Fusion 2012 (RedLine gallery’s 4th Annual Fashion Show) will have the chance of winning artwork created by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, as well as works from artists and other local dignitaries.
Alderwoman Coggs, a strong supporter of the arts and a regular attendee at gallery nights and other art-focused events, said the art lottery allows people to buy a sixby-six inch canvas that features the work of artists and novices. “The Project Patchwork art lottery is a fun way to support the arts and it means you could end up with a work created by a well-known local artist or a local dignitary such as myself or Mayor Barrett,” she said.

The Fusion 2012 event will also showcase fashion and the clothing of Bruce Paul Goodman, Squire Fine Men’s Apparel, and Edge Apparel, as well as RedLine’s Repurposed Runway Competition. Presented by 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, 20 designers and artists compete and construct garments made from recycled or re-purposed materials, using any icon as inspiration.
