Milwaukee—Gwen Connolly today announced the endorsement of dozens of community leaders in her race for Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branch 44, further demonstrating a broad base of support across the entire county. Connolly has previously announced the endorsement of a majority of Mayors and Village Presidents in Milwaukee County, as well as hundreds of judges and attorneys, including many leaders working to serve the poor.

“Judges need to understand the law, apply the Constitution, treat all parties fairly, and demonstrate wisdom,” said Alexandra Ramsey, a principal at Engberg Anderson Architects who’s been involved in some of the community’s highest-profile projects. “Gwen has demonstrated in her career and in her campaign that she will be a truly independent judge that every citizen can count on, and she’s earned my endorsement.”

“Judges should earn the trust of every sector of society,” said Dr. Enrique Figueroa, a well-known Latino community activist who works as Director of UW-Milwaukee’s Roberto Hernandez Center. “Gwen Connolly is smart, trustworthy, and fair, and she’s the best choice for Branch 44 in the April election. I’m honored to support her.”

“My career has been dedicated to helping families, and I’ve won awards for my pro-bono and legal service,” said Connolly. “This campaign is about earning support in every corner of Milwaukee, engaging people of every background and from every perspective. I am deeply honored to have these leaders’ support.”
