    A design based on increasing revenue is understandable but why the visceral opposition to the Kiley chestnut grove (“Black Forest”) expressed by the architect? The grove provides shade and respite. It’s cool in summer and cancels traffic noise. Bryant Park, by the way, has trees. How about this: to provide continuity include 3 new chestnut trees and keep one of the concrete benches.

    Isn’t Kilbourn Avenue on the south side of the building?
