Introducing Urban Milwaukee Dial
A new logo, a new design and a new spirit for our entertainment section.
Welcome to Urban Milwaukee Dial.
As of today, the publication formerly known as Third Coast Daily has a new name: Urban Milwaukee Dial. Or you might prefer the Dial, if you’re more into that whole brevity thing.
UrbanMilwaukee.com purchased TCD on December 1, 2013 and immediately began making changes to broaden the focus of the online arts publication, to make it a complete entertainment and nightlife guide, with coverage of rock, pop music and comedy and dining and bars. Meanwhile we’ve been working with the good folks at Laughlin Constable, who did a wonderful job designing coordinated logos for both Urban Milwaukee and the Dial. (We will soon unveil the new logo for Urban Milwaukee.)
Along with changing its name, we have also redesigned our entertainment section to parallel that of Urban Milwaukee, which means a bigger, more readable font and a brighter but newsier feel. Over time we hope to bring our own, more web-oriented style of journalism to how entertainment is covered in Milwaukee. That will be a process of discovery (and feel free to offer suggestions). We will also be adding more content in the coming months to help you dial into this city’s ever-growing, ever-improving nightlife scene. We believe cities are where it is happening in America, and we want to capture the excitement, and have fun doing it.
For those who want to dial up the entertainment page directly, you can do so at urbanmilwaukeedial.com. Or you can get there from our Urban Milwaukee home page. However you arrive, we welcome your readership.
Fresh new look, color, and layout. Faster navigation. I’m pleased that TCD is now integrated with URBAN MILWAUKEE – one site, the best in Milwaukee. Congratulations and best wishes going forward. John Shannon, former TCD Publisher.
@John. Thank you.
I trust there will be a more seamless transition between Urban Milwaukee and UM Dial.
I like the new look, and it’s easy to click on past articles and keep up-to-date. My only problem is that sometimes I have trouble leaving comments, being told there’s some sort of error that one can fix, but when I try to use the code to fix it, it never helps.
