UPAF’s Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite, is proud to announce that this year’s Ride will include three routes (25, 50 and 75-mile roues) that will ride over the Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge. The date of the Ride is Sunday, June 5, 2011. This is the first time in decades that bicycle riders will be able to experience this unique landmark and its stunning views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan. On the day of the Ride, UPAF is planning a two-hour closure of the northbound and southbound lanes of I-794 beginning from Lincoln Memorial Drive on the north to Car Ferry Drive on the south. The 5 and 12-mile routes will remain the same as last year and there will be a second 25-mile route that will not cross over the Hoan Bridge.
