A Bye Week
ThirdCoast Digest’s weekly Performance Art and Fine Music Preview highlights
With the upcoming 4th of July weekend, the birth of nation is due to be celebrated with beer, floats, and blowing stuff up. As far as we can find, none of the regular venues have anything opening (and for many, a suspension of its run for the holiday) this week. Kidz Days continues during the morning on the Marcus Center grounds, and Old Times previews at the new Touchstone Theatre stage — but that’s about it.
Next week blows up real nice, however, with such events as the 30th Anniversary celebration at American Players Theatre, The Great Circus Parade with performances starting five days prior on July 8, and the start of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. The week after that there’s even more. So check back next Tuesday for details.
Until then, go see a military band bust out some Sousa — like the American Legion Band at Chill on the Hill June 30 and the Air Force Band at Cedarburg Cultural Center on July 5.
