GenoPalate Appoints Dr. Hector Guillen as Chief Scientific Officer
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 — GenoPalate, a personalized nutrition company helping people turn biological data into practical nutrition guidance, today announced that Hector Guillen, PhD, has been appointed Chief Scientific Officer.Dr. Guillen brings more than 14 years of experience in applied biotechnology, biomedicine, nutrigenomics, and interdisciplinary biomedical research. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame and completed postdoctoral training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Before joining GenoPalate, he held research and scientific roles at Texas Biomedical Research Institute and Wake Forest School of Medicine, where his work focused on precision medicine, biomedical research, and translating complex biological insight into more actionable applications.
His appointment comes as GenoPalate continues accelerating its efforts to advance the science of personalized nutrition. In his role as Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Guillen will guide GenoPalate’s scientific strategy, research partnerships, evidence development, and the continued expansion of the company’s recommendation engine beyond genetics alone.
Dr. Guillen was also the primary author of GenoPalate’s recent peer-reviewed paper published in BMC Nutrition, which examined the relationship between genetically informed dietary behavior changes and self-reported health improvements. The publication represents an important milestone in GenoPalate’s continued work to validate and advance the practical application of nutrigenomics in everyday nutrition guidance.
“Dr. Guillen has been instrumental in strengthening the scientific foundation behind GenoPalate,” said Dr. Asif Naseem, Chairman and CEO of GenoPalate. “His leadership is helping us move nutrigenomics forward through rigorous research, strategic collaborations, and a more comprehensive approach to personalization. As we incorporate additional data inputs such as blood biomarkers, food habits, lifestyle information, and ongoing member feedback, Hector’s scientific direction will be critical to ensuring our guidance becomes deeper, more precise, and more actionable.”
As Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Guillen will lead GenoPalate’s efforts to expand research collaborations with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and scientific partners. These efforts are central to the company’s broader ambition to build a more connected personalized nutrition platform that integrates multiple health data streams and translates them into practical guidance for members.
“Personalized nutrition has the potential to change how people understand and act on their health, but that potential depends on strong science,” said Dr. Hector Guillen, Chief Scientific Officer of GenoPalate. “Our goal is to continue building the evidence base for nutrigenomics while expanding how we use genetics alongside biomarkers, diet patterns, and other relevant inputs. The future of personalized nutrition will be more comprehensive, more dynamic, and more connected to the real decisions people make every day.”
GenoPalate’s platform uses genetic insights to help members better understand their nutritional needs, food responses, and wellness opportunities. Under Dr. Guillen’s scientific leadership, the company is expanding its capabilities to incorporate additional data sources, including blood nutrient analysis and food frequency information, to provide more complete and individualized recommendations.
This approach reflects GenoPalate’s continued evolution from a genetics-based nutrition company into a broader personalized nutrition platform. By combining nutrigenomics, biomarkers, behavioral data, expert support, and personalized products, GenoPalate is working to create deeper guidance for members across key wellness areas, including weight management, GLP-1 support, menopause, longevity, and metabolic wellness.
