Milwaukee, WI (May 23, 2017) – The Brady Street Business Improvement District (BID #11) will host the Brady Street Festival Saturday, July 29, 11 a.m. – midnight. The Festival takes place on Brady Street from Van Buren to Farwell Avenue.

This year’s musical entertainment lineup features local and regional acts on four stages, and cuts across many genres providing an awesome experience for everyone. Here are some highlights.

Early Day

The festival kicks off at 11:00am with many ways to start the morning off right! On the east end of Brady find your Zen with Yoga by Meg from Yoga One East Side studio or if you would rather keep your shoes on join Zumba with CJ followed by Salsa lessons on the West end’s Bud Light Main stage.

High Noon

Whether you’re strolling with your friends looking for a mimosa, Bloody Mary, or decided to bring your kids, there is a lot to do! The Red Flags and Negative Positive will be playing for our Youth Showcase on the Center Stage, sponsored by Gruber Law Offices. Looking for something interactive? The Glorioso’s stage will feature Dr.Magic at 1:30 followed by a Cannoli sampling and Cheese Curd competition.

Mid Afternoon

Things start to heat up into the afternoon with lots of music. Just to name a few, Abby Jean, NO/NO, AUTOmatic, Rocket Paloma, The Listening Party and Neocavemen will all be performing. In between acts take a moment to grab some grub from one of the many local food vendors.

Sunset

Working into the evening and late night the music and activities continue to roll. Me Like Bees and Wild Adriatic are touring into Milwaukee together for the event. You can also catch some local favorites like Myles Coyne Band, Coyote, CHIEF and Ol’ Style Skratch.

Headlining

This years headliners are a mix of Brady St. favorites like the annual Drag Show, Cream City Queens, presented by Nova Salon & Lash Boutique, and Milwaukee’s best local bands. SIREN will headline the Center Stage at 9:00. Shoot Down the Moon headlines the Glorioso’s stage promoting their newest record Forever Sedated. On the East end’s #Great Lakes Distillery# Stage presented by 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, catch ESSO Afrojam Funkbeat who will be coming from Chicago followed by the electronic sync group NO NO YEAH OKAY to close out the night.

Abby Jeanne

Abby Jeanne from Milwaukee will be playing on the Humboldt Stage presented by Gruber Law Offices at 6:00PM to grace us with her psychedelic soul. Some of you may know of Abby Jeanne from her collaboration with Foreign Goods. Abby’s voice is so powerful it really moves one spiritually, and soon everyone in town will know her name! Follow her on twitter and Facebook at @abbyjeannemusic.

Coyote

Coyote is a four piece rock band from Milwaukee with a twist of funk and jazz. Andy, Isaac, Ed and Mikey have been touring the Midwest promoting their most recent album Fool’s Gold. You can listen to their recent release online at www.soundsofcoyote.com and follow them on Facebook and twitter @coyoteband.

Me Like Bees

Me Like Bees is an alternative indie group that hails from Joplin, Missouri. This summer they are on tour with fellow Brady St. performer, Wild Adriatic. You may have seen or heard of them before as they make regular tours through the Midwest and have found a large following in Wisconsin but this will be their first Brady St performance so let’s make sure we give them a warm welcome!

Wild Adriatic

This three piece of literally “wild” energy are from upstate New York. Throughout their music career they have built an international audience and will be also joining Brady St Festival for the first time.  As a rock and roll band they bring something unique to the stage with their gritty and guitar heavy sound. During a live show you can really feel their passion for music. In 2017 they released their fourth full length titled Feel. You can learn more about Wild Adriatic by visiting their website www.wildadriatic.com or follow them on Facebook and twitter @wildadriatic.

AUTOMatic

AUTOMatic is a two-piece hip-hop group formed by emcee APRIME and producer Trellmatic, thus creating AUTOMatic. The two got together to create this collision in 2007 when they were both impressed by each other’s work. Together they now represent hip-hop that is non-explicit with sounds incorporating jazz, soul and funk.
