WUWM 89.7 – Milwaukee’s NPR launches season two of “Swing State of the Union”
Milwaukee – On February 26, WUWM 89.7 – Milwaukee’s NPR will release episode one of season two of its digital first podcast product, “Swing State of the Union” (SSOTU). Like season one, season two will be hosted by WUWM’s “Lake Effect” producers Joy Powers and Sam Woods.
“We’re delighted to bring listeners a second season of Swing State of the Union. People in Wisconsin may have noticed a shift in how state Supreme Court races are run and talked about. This new season [of SSOTU] is going to help us understand why that it is,” said Becky Mortensen, WUWM’s executive producer of “Lake Effect” and editor of the podcast.
“The response to the first season exceeded our expectations and I hope people find this new season as useful, informative and engaging as the first,” Mortensen added.
The podcast will be released every Wednesday between February 26 and March 26 on all major podcast platforms. WUWM will air SSOTU on the radio at noon on Fridays and at 7:30 p.m. on Sundays. More information about the podcast, including the season two trailer, is available at wuwm.com/swing-state.
