WisGOP Post-Spring Election Reaction

MADISON, Wis. — Tonight, unfortunately, Brad Schimel and Brittany Kinser did not prevail in their races; however, the Trump-endorsed Voter ID Constitutional Amendment has passed, an important part of election integrity in Wisconsin.

“This election was the most expensive Supreme Court race in history. Coming off a successful November, we knew the April elections would be challenging. I want to thank Brad Schimel and Brittany Kinser, who stepped forward to represent our Conservative values on the ballot this spring. Conservatives saw victories across the state. Wisconsin ensured its elections would remain secure by enshrining Voter ID in the Constitution and won many crucial local races. In 2026, we have the opportunity to remain united and make a stand against Tony Evers‘ far-left agenda and defend President Trump’s America First policies,” stated Chairman Brian Schimming.

Throughout the Spring Election cycle, WisGOP made unprecedented investments:

  • Maintained field staff from the 2024 election cycle.
  • Expanded minority outreach, with 4 dedicated staff members focused on coalition building, alongside 3 targeted radio ads aimed at Hispanic and African American voters.
  • Invested over $200k on 9 different mail projects for the Farm Team initiative.
  • Transferred a record amount to candidates, including over $9 million to Schimel and over $2 million to Kinser.
  • Made over 2.5 million voter contacts.
