Wisconsin Republicans Vote Against Ending the War in Iran
MADISON, Wis. — Yesterday, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives passed the War Powers Resolution to finally put an end to Trump’s illegal war in Iran—and every Wisconsin Republican in the House voted against it.
“Wisconsin Republicans’ continued refusal to stop Trump’s reckless actions abroad is a slap in the face to every Wisconsinite who is struggling more and more to pay for basic needs like gas and groceries every day this war continues,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman. “Tom Tiffany, Derrick Van Orden, and Bryan Steil continue to show that they will gladly ignore the pain Wisconsinites are feeling—all to keep Trump happy, even if it means prolonging his war-of-choice in Iran.”
