Wisconsin Republicans Silent While Gas Prices Surge Under Trumps Reckless Agenda
MADISON, Wis. — While gas prices are rising throughout Wisconsin as a result of the Trump administration’s strikes on Iran, Wisconsin Republicans including Tom Tiffany, Derrick Van Orden, and Bryan Steil have all stayed silent on this most recent addition to the affordability crisis.

- Tom Tiffany took a selfie in front of a Wisconsin gas station and told Wisconsinites 2026 would be “the cheapest year for gas” in the past six years.
- Derrick Van Orden tweeted a list of reasons people should vote for him—lower gas prices was first.
- Bryan Steil claimed years ago that Trump’s policies helped lower gas prices, but continues to remain silent as Trump’s chaos agenda further unfolds.
- Tony Wied once cared about “pain at the pump”, but no longer responds to his constituents’ rising affordability concerns.
- Glenn Grothman used to praise Trump for putting families first, but has turned his back on the families in his own district who cannot afford to buy groceries or fill up their tank.
- Scott Fitzgerald released a statement just last week touting lower gas prices under the Trump administration, but nobody has heard from him since prices drastically increased as a result of the administration’s actions over the weekend.
