MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS) is excited to welcome Mr. Landon Zacharyasz as the new principal on staff beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Zacharyasz is the school’s sixth principal since 1954, which shows the commitment that past leadership has had in the pursuit of the school’s mission.

Since arriving at WLHS, Mr. Zacharyasz, who is energetic and places strong emphasis in establishing and maintaining relationships, has been impressed.

“One of the things I immediately noticed was the passion that WLHS teachers have for the ministry. Their dedication to teaching students and helping them grow in their academic and spiritual lives is abundantly clear,” said Zacharyasz.

Prior to WLHS, Zacharyasz served and led Mount Olive Lutheran School in Appleton for 13 years, and also served as the Fox Valley Lutheran Schools president for six years. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and is in the process of earning his Master of Business Administration from the Milwaukee School of Engineering – Rader School of Business.

“The students, parents and supporters I have met absolutely love WLHS,” said Zacharyasz. “The enthusiasm so many have for this ministry is impressive, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

The selection of Mr. Zacharyasz follows a thorough search process involving input from staff, parents, and community members. His vision for WLHS emphasizes establishing a strong faith foundation in students, as well as academic rigor, career and life planning, and strong partnerships with families and local organizations.

“We are grateful that God has blessed WLHS with such an inspiring leader whose faith and gifts will profoundly impact the next generation of students and staff,” said Rev. Dr. Kenneth Fisher, President of WLHS. “Mr. Zacharyasz’s passion for Christ-centered education and commitment to serving our diverse student body and their families will be invaluable to our students as they grow in their faith, achieve academic success and prepare to be productive members in our community.”
