Wisconsin Democrats Congratulate Rep. Sara Rodriguez
MADISON, Wis. — Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement on Rep. Sara Rodriguez’s election as the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor:
“Sara Rodriguez has served the people of Wisconsin throughout her career as a registered nurse, community leader, public health official, and state legislator, and Sara will continue to do what is right for our state as the next Lieutenant Governor of the state of Wisconsin. In the Assembly, Sara led the fight to expand BadgerCare and co-sponsored legislation to repeal Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban because she understands the importance of affordable, quality health care access for all. Sara will be a strong partner to Governor Evers as they continue working to address rising costs, help small businesses, and give our kids the education they need to thrive.”
