Hales Corners, WI 10/3/2022 Wimmer Communities will kick off its annual toy drive for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission on November 1st, 2022.

Wimmer Communities’ team members, retirees, family, and friends care about those in need within our community and throughout the world. Wimmer participates in countless hours of volunteer initiatives every year, and for the past five years, they’ve partnered with the Milwaukee Rescue Mission to support its efforts in providing new toys, clothing, shoes, school supplies, home essentials and personal care items to Milwaukee neighbors in need.

This year, you can join Wimmer Communities to help make it a happy holiday season for hundreds of men, women and children finding shelter and care at MRM. In 2021, Wimmer employees and residents generously contributed toys and cash donations totaling $21,968.60!

Since 1893, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (MRM) has served men, women, and children experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty in Milwaukee. Their mission statement says: “Sharing God’s love by caring for those who are poor in body, mind and spirit, to see lives transformed through Christ to hope, joy and lasting productivity.” The Milwaukee Rescue Mission meets basic needs—meals, shelter, and clothing—and provides life-changing resources that give struggling neighbors a chance at a fresh start.

“It’s such a privilege to be able to partner with an organization like the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. They make such a positive impact in the community,” said Karen Wimmer, Director of Charities.

Wimmer Communities accepts toy donations at all their leasing locations. These leasing offices are in Brookfield, Greendale, Greenfield, Hales Corners, Menomonee Falls, New Berlin, Oak Creek, Pewaukee, Waukesha and West Allis. Visit Wimmercommunities.com to find a location near you.
