WBB Hosts Seton Hall Wednesday Night at 8 p.m. CT

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s basketball team hosts Seton Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.
HALLE THIRD DOUBLE-DOUBLE OF THE SEASON VS VILLANOVA
• Halle Vice recorded her third double-double of the season against the Wildcats on Wednesday with a career-high tying 20 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
• The sophomore guard hit a career-high two 3-pointers, both coming in the second half.
MU SECOND LARGEST COMEBACK OF SEASON AGAINST VILLANOVA
• The Golden Eagles completed their second largest comeback of the season against Villanova when they were down 13 late in the second quarter on Saturday.
• After shooting just 28 percent in the first half, MU shot 45.5 percent in the last 20 minutes and outscored the Wildcats 42-28 in the second half, including a 21-9 third quarter.
• Halle Vice had 15 points and seven boards in the second half, including going 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.
• Marquette was down by as many as 14 in the comeback win at Rutgers on Nov. 29, 2024. MU won 59-57 over the Scarlet Knights.
MASON STRONG START TO CONFERENCE PLAY
• Jaidynn Mason is averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.2 steals in BIG EAST play.
• The junior guard averaged 16.0 points last week and has three double-digit scoring outings in the last five games after having three during non-conference play.
FORBES LEADING THE WAY
• Skylar Forbes is leading the team at 15.8 points per game this season and has four 20-point games along with two double-doubles.
• The sophomore forward has three conference honor roll selections this season to lead the team and has made a team-high 24 3-pointers.
• Forbes was the lone Golden Eagle to have started a game at MU coming into this season and has scored in double-figures in 13-of-15 games this season.
• Forbes is fourth in league playing scoring 18.0 points per game and third in field goal percentage, shooting 49.1 percent (26-of-53).
DEFENSE LEADS THE WAY FOR MU
• Marquette is second in the BIG EAST and 20th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (35.9 percent) and have held opponents to under 45 percent from the floor in all 15-of-16 games this season.
• The loss at Creighton on Wednesday, Jan. 8 was the first time this season an opponent shot 45-percent-or-better against Marquette.
• MU is 44th nationally holding opponents to 57.2 points per game.
• The Golden Eagles have held opponents to under 53 points five times and have held teams to 10-points-or-less in 17 quarters this season.
