Vukmir and Nicholson Support Gutting Preexisting Condition Protections
The Trump Administration says protections for Wisconsinites with preexisting conditions are unconstitutional. And Vukmir and Nicholson back GOP efforts to gut the protections entirely.
MADISON — Do GOP Senate candidates Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson think protections that keep insurance companies from price gouging or outright denying coverage to Wisconsinites with preexisting conditions are unconstitutional?
The Trump Administration on Thursday announced that it no longer plans to “defend the Affordable Care Act…because it agrees that the law’s individual mandate is unconstitutional and that key parts of the act — including the provisions protecting those with pre-existing conditions — are invalid.”
“We Know Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson support gutting protections for Wisconsinites with preexisting conditions — they’re campaigning on Trumpcare repeal plans that do just that,” said Brad Bainum, DPW spokesperson for the 2018 Senate race. “Do Vukmir and Nicholson agree with Trump that protections for people with preexisting conditions are unconstitutional?”
The Trump Administration’s opposition to protections for Americans with preexisting conditions should come as no surprise. For more than a year now, Congressional Republicans have enjoyed the vocal support of Vukmir and Nicholson as they’ve sought to force through dangerous Trumpcare repeal efforts that would:
- Gut protections for Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions;
- Strip care away from 30 million Americans; and
- Spike consumer costs.

I cannot respect or vote for anyone who thinks that pre-existing conditions disqualify a person from health insurance. That is like saying America is only for the healthy…
Also I know that if Nicholson or Vukmir, or anyone in government would develop one of these conditions, they would be covered. So,,,you are only thinking of yourself and your cronies.
Nicholson and Vukmir,,,you are Un-American….we are the only developed country that doesn’t take care of it’s own…
As I write this, I can feel my blood pressure rising, so I’d better go meditate, or I’ll be one of those with a pre-existinbg condition…if I’m not already,,,
Which brings up the question…;where is the list of pre-existing conditions????
I agree with Rita. GOP = cut or eliminate everything to the bone unless it involves well to do people. If you are middle class or poor, too bad. GOP = no conscience whatsoever.
Of course these two disgusting republicans will get to keep their great government subsidized health care, just like Walker as well, while we the tax payers pay for it and get NOTHING but sickness, disease and bankruptcy. These hideeous Republican monsters must never be elected!
Dump Vukmir!
Dump Nicholson!
Dump Trump!
Dump Walker!
